The Jazz Ensembles of Mount Holyoke College are made up of the Big Band, Chamber Jazz, and Vocal Jazz ensembles. Under the direction of Mark Gionfriddo, "The Big Broadcast!" has become their biggest and most anticipated annual concert.
The Jazz Ensembles of Mount Holyoke College will travel back to the 1940s for the fifth annual presentation of “The Big Broadcast!” Sunday, March 7, at 2 pm and 7:30 pm in Chapin Auditorium.
Under the direction of Mark Gionfriddo, the Mount Holyoke Big Band, Vocal Jazz, and Chamber Jazz Ensembles will perform well-known tunes from the swing era, including music by the Andrews Sisters, George Gershwin, Benny Goodman, Gene Krupa, and Cole Porter.
